Sharri Rochlin shares the positive impact 4Front has had on her daughter as a Peer Leadership Fellows and Diller Teen Fellows.

4Front truly is a gift to the Baltimore Jewish community as it helps our most precious resource, our teens, learn how to create change to make our world a better place. It is my hope as a parent that our teens will help to change the world and I believe 4Front is helping them develop the tools to do this and helping them understand the need for this change through a Jewish lens.

Peer Leadership Fellows helped Kaitlyn learn about the importance of connections and building community. When you learn with your peers from a trusted adult it has significant impact. The monthly training seminars helping Kaitlyn build her confidence in her communication skills and in her public speaking ability. These seminars also helped hone leadership and community organizing skills that will be beneficial throughout life in whatever career she chooses. As someone who is a natural empath, Kaitlyn also learned skills related to being an empathetic listener which will prove valuable over time.

The Diller Teen Fellows year- long immersive global leadership program has helped Kaitlyn find her voice and will help her be an advocate for change in our community and our world. We have watched with pride as Kaitlyn has developed relationships with other teens in the Baltimore area and explore who she is as a Jewish young adult. The cohort has delved into deep issues of personal and communal importance, and they have had many thought-provoking conversations and programs. Kaitlyn has learned about and developed an understanding and respect for other cultures, and I know she is excited about welcoming her teen match to Baltimore and to visiting our partner city in Ashkelon this summer.

As parents, we thank 4Front for helping teens give back to our community, develop interpersonal relationships with other Jewish teens both in Baltimore and in Israel, and be the change makers we need for the future!
