Broaden self-awareness and learn to best lean into your strengths and demonstrate leadership in ways that are impactful
– Reflect and consider your preferred work style, where you feel more or less confident, and how to communicate this to your supervisor
– Acquire strategies for avoiding imposter syndrome
– Learn how to ask for the feedback that will help expand your self-understanding
– Troubleshoot common, and sometimes tricky, workplace scenarios
Tuesday, February 28, 2023: Tapping into Your Full Potential: The Value of Understanding Your Manager and Colleagues
Understand how to communicate and work with others more effectively, and with less frustration for everyone involved.
– Identify ways to genuinely get to know your manager and colleagues, personally and professionally
– Consider how to intentionally build these connections in our new hybrid and fluid work environment
– Explore the many ways one must understand their manager including what motivates them, how they process information, problem solve, etc.
– Troubleshoot common, and sometimes tricky, workplace scenarios
Tuesday, March 14, 2023: The Value of Communication, a discussion between the early career participants and their managers.
Managers and Supervisors are invited to join early career pros in conversation, learning what makes the other tick, what motivates the other, and how to work together to bring our unique set of skills to the table to demonstrate one can lead from any seat.

Muffin Day Baking Party!

Join Jewish teens from around Baltimore for our annual Muffin Day Baking Party, a baking extravaganza that brings awareness and funding to issues surrounding homelessness in America and the great organizations tackling it. Come together to bake homemade muffins to be donated to a local shelter in Baltimore, then listen to firsthand stories from individuals who have experienced homelessness to understand more about this issue and local needs. This event is part of a National Muffin Day philanthropic initiative involving bakers from all over the country! #GiveMuffins
Teens are also encouraged to bring a new or gently used blanket to donate to Keeping Baltimore Warm’s blanket drive, to be donated to a local homeless shelter.
In partnership with Keeping Baltimore Warm, The Macks Center for Jewish Education, Baltimore Hebrew Congregation, BBYO Baltimore Council, and Har Sinai Oheb Shalom Congregation

Youth Mental Health First Aid Training

Join 4Front for a certification training of Youth Mental Health First Aid. YMHFA teaches adults who work with youth how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges among children and adolescents ages 12-18. Light breakfast, lunch and snacks will be provided.
What Mental Health First Aid Covers:
- Common signs and symptoms of mental health challenges in this age group, including anxiety, depression, eating disorders and attention deficit hyperactive disorder (ADHD).
- Common signs and symptoms of substance use challenges.
- How to interact with a child or adolescent in crisis.
- How to connect the youth with help.
- Expanded content on trauma, substance use, self-care and the impact of social media and bullying.
This will be an 8 hour, in-person training. The day will include multiple breaks and lunch will be provided by 4Front.
Cost: $36 – highly subsidized by 4Front

Now you can be one of the 6,000 teens from around the world to participate in this five-day Olympic-style sporting event held each summer in several North American cities. Beyond the athletic competition, the Games promote community involvement, teamwork, and pride in being Jewish. Please see the 2022 Vaccination Policy. All participants must try out for a team sport or individual sport and be accepted into the program.
Tryout Dates
We are still recruiting participants to travel with us to Israel and boys lacrosse players for Ft. Lauderdale. If you are interested in participating, or if you missed tryouts for other sports, please reach out to Rebecca Chinsky, [email protected]
