Social Innovation Fellowship Demo Day

Social Innovation Fellowship Demo Day

Calendar May 2, 2023

On Sunday April 30, 2023 at Maryland Public Television, families, students, and business professionals joined together for 4Front’s Social Innovation Fellowship Demo Day.

The Social Innovation Fellowship, a 4Front Signature program, is a hands-on entrepreneurship program that inspires and empowers Jewish teens to be changemakers in their community. Taught in partnership with expert entrepreneur Henrik Scheel of Startup Experience, fellows developed an entrepreneurial mindset and skill set while working on a team to create their own social enterprise to tackle problems in the community and work towards Tikkun Olam, repairing the world. After several months of hard work, our teen entrepreneurs pitched their business ideas for a better world to judges who are top business leaders, educators, and entrepreneurs. Each one of our four teams had 15 minutes to pitch their start-ups and answer questions from the judges and audience. With this year’s topics being Teen Health, fellows developed incredible start-ups on subjects ranging from teen-cooking, teen-nutrition, and teen-social wellness. After studying the art of pitching and pitch deck design in recent weeks, fellows amazed the audience with top quality pitches and performances that included showcasing a fully functional website, a ready to use app, and fully manufactured protein bars! With guest speaker David Speer, Executive Director of MIDC, and speech from last year’s winners and now founders of Keeping Baltimore Warm, it was a night to remember.  Thank you to all mentors, partners, and supporters who made this year’s program a great success and congrats to this year’s winners, Andy Nesterovsky and Max Shein of ClubFindr!
