TEEN SERVICE COUNCIL
Program Details:
Grow into your leadership and make a difference by joining 4Front’s Teen Service Council! Throughout the year, you will engage in meaningful hands-on community service and monthly workshops to build valuable, real-world skills. Council members will learn about issues facing our Baltimore community and how Jewish values can inform action towards a more just world. With newly built skills, fellows will collaborate to create a meaningful opportunity for the teen community to support a cause selected by the cohort. Includes a kick-off overnight retreat, monthly 2-hour workshops, and hands-on service opportunities.
Program Dates: September 2026 – May 2027, meets once a month
Grades: 9th & 10th
Community Service Hours: 15 hours
Cost: $425 (monthly payment plans available)

Teens will...
- Explore our local community’s needs and how teens can utilize their skills to give back
- Build leadership skills including self-management, teamwork, collaboration, and creativity
- Collaborate with peers to craft a meaningful, community-wide service opportunity for teens designed by your cohort
- Engage in cohort-based workshops to learn valuable leadership skills and identify opportunities for tikkun olam (service)
- Experience a meaningful overnight retreat to bond as a cohort
Application & Selection Process: Teen Service Council accepts up to 20 teens from the Baltimore Jewish community. To be selected:
- Applicants must submit their written application online by April 26
- Applicants must complete a 30-minute small-group consultation with the TSC Program Coordinator, Rebecca Rosenfelt
- Program acceptances will be announced the first week of June 2026.

In the spirit of Thanksgiving, join 4Front for The Great Lasagna Bake, an evening of giving back, connecting with other teens, and making a difference in our community! First teens will roll up their sleeves and work together to assemble delicious lasagnas to be donated to Paul’s Place, an organization serving individuals and families in need in Baltimore. Then we’ll welcome a representative from Paul’s Place to share about the important work they do, the challenges facing members of our community, and how our awareness and acts of kindness can make a meaningful impact. Come ready to have fun, learn something new, and help feed those in need!
FREE and open to all teens in grades 7–12 and their friends. 2 community service hours will be awarded!
