These programs focus on topics including Jewish identity, leadership, Israel, peer engagement, social entrepreneurship, and more!
This virtual info session session will include information on each program and a chance to hear from and ask questions to teen alumni.

For parents of teens
As a parent, preparing teens to leave the nest can be tough. How can I ensure my child is safe, without being overbearing? What happens when my teen approaches a roadblock, such as a tough roommate? What is the deal with fraternities and sororities? Join us for a session with Jen Rudo, Health and Wellness Educator at Jewish Communal Services, as well as a panel discussion with current college students and parents to delve into the emotional and tactile preparation for life after high school.

JEN RUDO, B.S
Teen Outreach Coordinator and Health Educator
Jen Rudo has immersed herself in the lives of adolescents for the last decade through her outreach work with teens in community locations and in teen centers. She brings creativity learned from years in the world of summer camps to engage students in and out of the classroom. Jen, a graduate of Towson University, is certified by the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation in Critical Incident Stress Management Applications with Children and is a certified instructor of Youth Mental Health First Aid® and QPR Suicide Prevention.

For Parents & Teens (11th & 12th grade)
Conversations about Israel on campus continue to evolve and have become increasingly complex. What types of Israel-related discussions might we encounter in college? What are the terms we need to understand in order to be prepared for the nuanced dialogue ahead? Along with expert educators Dr. Noam Weissman and Sarah Gordon from OpenDor media, we will explore how to prepare for Israel conversations on campus. Parents/Guardians & teens in 11th & 12th grade are invited to join The Associated’s Insight Israel Forum and 4Front for this important discussion. The session will begin with both parents and teens together, followed by a separate parent and teen conversation. Snacks will be provided. Educator’s Bios:
Dr. Noam Weissman
Dr. Noam Weissman is an Executive Vice President at OpenDor Media. He leads the education vision and implementation at OpenDor Media with a special focus on the development of meaningful content and resources for students and educators. He holds a doctorate in educational psychology from USC with a focus on curriculum design.
Sarah Gordon
Sarah Gordon is the Senior Director of Israel Education – AMER for Unpacked for Educators, a division of OpenDor Media. Previously, Sarah served as the Director of Israel Guidance and Experiential Education at Ma’ayanot High School, where she taught Talmud, chaired a course on Contemporary Israel, and brought her vision and creativity to a wide range of school programs. Sarah holds dual masters degrees in Jewish Education and Modern Jewish History from Yeshiva University, where she is currently pursuing her Ed.D as a Wexner Fellow and Davidson Scholar.
