SIF: SOCIAL INNOVATION FELLOWSHIP
This 12-week fellowship is a hands-on entrepreneurship program that inspires and empowers Jewish teens to be changemakers in their community. Taught in partnership with expert entrepreneur Henrik Scheel of Startup Experience, fellows will develop an entrepreneurial mindset and skill set to create their own social enterprise to tackle problems in the community and do Tikkun Olam, repair the world.
This real-world, resume boosting experience includes a kick-off innovation boot camp, 10 business building workshops, mentoring sessions with local business leaders, and opportunities to engage with entrepreneurs in Baltimore and abroad. Teens will be placed in teams to develop their startup ideas and test it in the community. The program culminates with our annual Demo Day event, where teens will pitch their ideas for a better Baltimore. The 2021-2022 program will meet in a hybrid format, alternating in-person and virtually, but is subject to change based on COVID-19 safety recommendations.
