We get a lot of emails…. I was lucky enough to open, read and respond to the email from 4Front’s new parent program, Parenting Unpacked: A Resource, Toolbox, and Support Network for parents of teens!  It’s hard to commit to another zoom, but this was worth it and I’ll show up for the next 2! Dr. Betsy Stone was engaging, relatable and on target. She was willing to answer specific questions in a straightforward, honest manner and also kept us laughing. Reminding us to let our teens have and own their feelings without trying to turn them into something positive was an important takeaway for me. Learning specifics about trauma, sleep and why we may respond in certain ways was eye opening. As a former 4Front Lay Teen Advocate Program graduate representing JVC, I’m happy to say I’m still learning and growing as a parent of two teens, with 4Front’s support. Thank you for offering this pertinent network during this critical time in all of our lives. I’ll be there on March 25th and April 3rd for some more “Aha” moments! Tell your friends. Show up for yourself…and your kids.
