Elevating Teen Voices Across Baltimore’s Jewish Community: Meet the 2026-27 Gesher Teen Board Members

Calendar September 15, 2026

What happens when teens are given a real seat at the table?

This year, 21 high school seniors from across the Baltimore area are bringing their voices, perspectives, and ideas directly into the boardrooms of our Jewish community through 4Front’s Gesher Teen Board Member Program.

Gesher pairs teens with local Jewish organizations where they serve as non-voting members of the board, giving them a firsthand look at how organizations make decisions, address challenges, set priorities, and work to strengthen our community.

Throughout the year, Gesher participants also come together as a cohort for workshops and experiences designed to build their understanding of nonprofit leadership and governance, strengthen their professional skills, and empower them to represent and elevate teen voices throughout Jewish Baltimore.

We’re excited to introduce the 2026-27 Gesher Teen Board Members!

A Seat at the Table. A Voice in the Community.

Over the coming months, these teens won’t simply observe board meetings. They’ll have opportunities to ask questions, contribute their perspectives, build relationships with communal leaders, and help organizations better understand the needs and experiences of today’s Jewish teens.

At the same time, they’ll continue learning together as a Gesher cohort, exploring topics including board governance, confidentiality, conflict of interest, professional presence, communication, and the responsibilities that come with communal leadership.

Most importantly, Gesher is built around a simple but powerful idea: Teen voices belong at the table.

We are grateful to our organizational partners for opening their boardrooms to the next generation of Jewish leaders and for recognizing the value that young people can bring to communal conversations today.

We can’t wait to see how this year’s cohort learns, grows, contributes, and leads throughout the year.

Stay tuned as we follow the 2026-27 Gesher cohort on their leadership journey!
