Q: Tell us a bit about your background.

I grew up in Baltimore and have always been passionate about community service. I was heavily involved in theatre during my school years, performing in over 25 shows. I attended magnet schools, which allowed me to cultivate both my academic and creative interests.

Q: What did you study in college?

Jules Einhorn: I studied Neuroscience at the University of Maryland, College Park, specifically I was on the Molecular, Cellular, and Physiological track. I was also part of the College Park Scholars Program.

Q: What roles did you take on during your time at university?

I served as a Guided Study Sessions mentor and leader for organic chemistry and biology, a senior student ambassador with the Reed-Yorke Health Professions Advising Office, and a teaching assistant for neuroscience and psychology courses. I was active in Phi Delta Epsilon, a pre-medical fraternity where I served in the public health and community service chair roles. I was involved with TerpThon, raising funds for Children’s National Hospital, volunteering with the Food Recovery Network, and I conducted research at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. I was also inducted into Omicron Delta Kappa.

Q: How have these experiences influenced your career goals?

These roles strengthened my desire to become a physician. My work in the classroom, alongside shadowing physicians and researching neurodevelopmental disorders, helped me see how I can blend my passion for science with helping others.

Q: What has your involvement been in the Jewish community?

I’m active in the Baltimore Jewish community through volunteering with the Jewish Caring Network, which was an invaluable resource for my family. Also, I started a theatre elective at Baltimore Hebrew Congregation and worked at Beth Tfiloh Camps, focusing on youth engagement.

Q: What are your hobbies outside of work?

I enjoy walking, party planning, food blogging, and spending time with family and friends. I walk upwards of eight miles a day!
