What are you most excited about working at the J?

I’m most excited about the opportunity to engage with teens during such a pivotal time in their personal and Jewish development. The 4Front environment fosters a diverse range of perspectives, and I look forward to helping create meaningful and impactful experiences within that inclusive community.

Can you describe your past experience with Jewish youth programs? How have you worked with teens as a Rabbi?

I’ve had the privilege of working with teens in various settings, from leading NCSY Shabbatons to teaching at Torah High in Toronto. I’ve also served as Youth Director at Adath Israel in Hamilton, Ontario, and taught high school at Or Hachaim Bnei Akiva in Toronto. These experiences have allowed me to connect deeply with teens, helping them navigate life through a Jewish lens.

What direction will you bring to 4Front?

My background is quite diverse, ranging from being a rock guitarist in Los Angeles to a café owner, Rabbi, mentor, and life coach. I hope that my creativity, combined with my wide range of life experiences, will strengthen 4Front’s ability to deliver meaningful Jewish experiences to a broad and diverse audience.

As a Rabbi, how will you enrich the development of the Jewish teen community through 4Front?

As a Rabbi, I aim to weave Torah wisdom into the programming, ensuring it creates authentic Jewish experiences. My focus is on maintaining sensitivity and openness to everyone, following the values of our Torah tradition.

What is the accomplishment you are most proud of?

The accomplishment I am most proud of is raising three amazing, sensitive, and respectful teenagers, alongside my wife and best friend.

What is one thing few people know about you?

Most people don’t know that I was the lead guitarist in a band that was featured in Hits Magazine as the hottest band in LA back in 2000.
