Youth Mental Health First Aid Training

Youth Mental Health First Aid Training

Thursday, February 18, 2021 | 9:30am-3:30pm | FREE

Youth Mental Health First Aid is designed to teach parents, family members, caregivers, teachers, school staff, neighbors, health and human services workers, and other caring citizens how to help an adolescent (age 12-18) who is experiencing a mental health or addictions challenge or is in crisis. The course introduces common mental health challenges for youth, reviews typical adolescent development, and teaches a 5-step action plan for how to help young people in both crisis and non-crisis situations. It is a nationally recognized curriculum and certification that is a great tool to add to your personal and professional toolbelt during today’s challenging times.

4Front is excited to offer this YMHFA virtual training for Baltimore Youth Professionals for FREE thanks to a grant through the Jewish Teen Engagement & Education Funder Collaborative.

The 8-hour certification has been adapted virtually and requires completion of the following:

  • Approximately 2-hours of online pre-work to be completed on your own schedule
  • A live zoom training Thursday, February 18, 2021 from 9:30am-3:30pm (includes a lunch break)
